Round Table Robotics is Making History!

This past weekend, Round Table Robotics traveled to LaCrosse, Wisconsin to attend the Wisconsin District Seven Rivers event, and we are thrilled to share the results– for the first time in team history, RTR has WON an event!

We started out the competition with qualification matches, finishing ranked second with a record of 9 wins and 3 losses. During alliance selection, we were the first pick of the event, and were selected by the No. 1 ranked team, #1259 Paradigm Shift. We competed in 5 playoff matches and 2 finals matches, captained by Paradigm Shift, and alongside team #5586 Bond Brigade.

At this event, we also won the Quality award, in recognition of our robot’s design and reliability. The judges even gave a shout-out to our design process and the impressive number of 75 iterations it took to build and improve our robot.

RTR is proud to announce that our Design Lead and Drive Coach, Elijah P. was one of two students to win the FIRST Leadership Semi-Finalist Award, due to his dedication to the team and the impact he makes with FLL Mentoring. He will continue on to interview at the State Championship. Great job Elijah!

Furthermore, this event gave our team enough district ranking points to qualify for the FIRST Wisconsin State Championship, coming up on April 17th. More information about this event can be found HERE.

Finally, we would like to thank everyone supporting RTR at this competition– both in LaCrosse and at home. From teammates to family members, it was amazing to have so many people in the stands cheering for the team and our alliance. To our mentors and team parents, thank you for all the hard work you put into our team, whether in the pits or in organizing meals, we couldn’t have done it without you!
