Week 4’s already done... and a lot has happened over the past 7 days! Round Table Robotics traveled into the community to do a school demo, and had multiple people visit The Forge. We’re excited to be participating in the FUN Premiere Night in a few weeks and are working hard so we can be ready for it!

Monday morning we went to Mount Calvary Lutheran School to do a robot demo. We launched T-Shirts off to the students and got a lot of them interested in FLL and STEM. Monday Night team 2506 Saber Robotics came to use our field and collaborate with some of our sub teams. One of our sponsors, Zünd, came on Tuesday for a shop tour and to see what we have been working on. We are thankful for their continued support!

For Design, we’ve worked on pushing out final parts and finishing items to make them work.

For Assembly, one of our intakes is almost completed which is our cereal box intake. We also finished most of the building for the elevator and have almost finished our Crab Claw.

For Fabrication, we’ve finished making most of our manipulator parts.

For Programming this week, we tested our parade robot, Spinny Carter, and made sure it was up and running for our Mount Calvary demo. New team members were taught how to pack the robot and prepare for the demo. We also defined our control system for competition season, although it is not confirmed yet. Lastly, we’ve been getting a head start on defining our Intake, End Effector, and Elevator Subsystems.

Scouting started the week by meeting with team 2506 Saber Robotics. Later in the week we met with our scouting alliance mates 6223 Arsenals of Engineering and finalized metrics to track this season. With a completed list of metrics we worked to build forms to track said metrics. Next week we will begin our organization and visualization of data.

Electrical has worked on mounting the electrical panel. You can learn more about this by watching the video below!
Stay tuned for more information about our robot reveal on February 18th!
