Regional FIRST Impact Award
2023 Northern Lights Regional, Duluth MN
The FIRST Impact Award is the most prestigious award at FIRST, it honors the team that best represents a model for other teams to emulate and best embodies the purpose and goals of FIRST. The FIRST Impact Award is presented to the team judged to have the most significant measurable impact of its partnerships among its participants and community over a sustained period, not just a single build season. The winner is able to demonstrate progress towards FIRST’s mission of transforming our culture. The recipient team will be invited to a FIRST Championship where it will compete for the FIRST Impact Award against winners from other qualifying events.
-This well rounded team is encouraging STEM experiences to all students at their school -Expanding STEM and FIRST throughout their state. -All team members mentor younger FIRST teams -And their DEI efforts ensure that everyone has a seat at the table -Oh, that was a trip, did you get that BINGO?
Creativity Award sponsored by Rockwell Automation
2022 Northern Light Regional, Duluth MN
The Creativity Award sponsored by Rockwell Automation celebrates creativity that enhances strategy of play and was intentionally designed and not discovered.
This award celebrates creative engineering that takes risks to enhance the robot functions. It rewards the uniqueness of the design. By inverting their shooter, the idea was divine, To shoot forward or back would simply save time. The argument against it was quickly Tabled, as the robot has proven its shooter was enabled.

Woodie Flowers Finalist Award Robin Olson
2019 Wisconsin Regional, Milwaukee WI
This award is presented to an outstanding mentor who best leads, inspires, teaches, and empowers their team using excellent communication skills. Dr. William Murphy and Small Parts Inc. began this prestigious award in 1996. Beginning in 2004, this award was expanded to honor more exemplary communicators in the FIRST community.
